Behold are 20 card game experiences to prepare children for Hebrew Literacy in the areas of Hebrew phonology, letter knowledge vocabulary and early orthography.
Each card includes translation and transliteration where it may be helpful. Answers are on the back so children can self-correct.
Each set of cards include child friendly instruction that are pictorial, scripted, and explicit.

Syllables:Â There cards are intended to be used after children learn the alef bet, yet the experiences are divided into segments so children can start syllable learning once they know the first few letters.

Encoding and Decoding Words: There cards are divided into phases so children can immediately start reading words once once they have learned a few letters and syllables with the first vowel, Kamatz. Once they learn more letters and syllables, they can progress and read more words.

With these books, children can read simple, yet interesting and fun books before they know all the letters. For example, for the first book Av-Father, a child would only need to know three letters and three syllables with the first vowel kamatz. For the second book, Dag- Fish, a child would only need to know five letters and five syllables with the same kamatz vowel. Right away, children can begin to use their early knowledge of letter, syllable and word to read real wholesome books. They can quickly experience the joy of reading for pleasure and for meaning.
